The Big Case – January 2018

The Big Case
“At some point in our dental career, we have all seen a certain scenario unfold. A motivated patient walks in the door, having been contemplating treatment for a long time and waiting for the right moment to act. Whether this decision is cosmetic or restorative in nature, the patient has made that first step and reached out to you for assistance. After a productive initial appointment, fees are presented, treatment is scheduled and the patient leaves — only to fail to return.
“When trying to figure out what exactly happened, many thoughts come to mind. Was it something our practice did? Or that we didn’t do? Was the patient overwhelmed, embarrassed or feeling sticker shock? As dental professionals, how could we have better guided the patient along the path that leads to his or her desired outcome? In considering those questions, I have compiled a collection of video tutorials that showcase different viewpoints and multiple scenarios, providing valuable insights for all stages of a successful treatment presentation, from the initial yes to the follow-through and completion.”
