Q: What’s the culture like at Glidewell Laboratories?

A: I would describe the culture as welcoming and supportive. The first day that I was here as a copywriter, all my fellow copywriters came down and showed me the ropes and were very supportive, and I feel like that is true of the entire company. I have yet to meet someone here who isn’t supportive of their teammates and doesn’t want them to succeed. I would also say that it’s generous. The company really treats its employees well and you feel that on a day-to-day basis. Finally, I would say that the company is revolutionary. If you go back and you look at the history of the company, from starting in a garage to where we are today, I think we have been at the forefront of revolutionizing the dental industry. I’m just excited to be a part of it.

Q: How does the company’s future look to you?

A: Bright! If you look at our past and the way we have constantly evolved and changed with the times — even been ahead of the times — I think we will continue to do that. But with that said, I also feel like the future is not going to change the company’s core values and beliefs. We are going to continue to be the supportive, caring, generous environment that people love about this company. Even though we have grown to be a very large company, the people here make it feel small, like a family. So when you walk into work, it’s like you’re with your friends. And we’re all committed to the same tasks of bettering the company and ultimately bettering the lives of patients everywhere.

Q: Do you see a bright future for the company’s employees as well?

A: Glidewell Laboratories offers such an incredible space to grow professionally and personally. Whatever it is that you aspire to do, we have definite room for growth. That’s one of the things I love about the company. I started off as a junior copywriter and within six months I was given the opportunity to co-host a web series. So as you come into this company, you will start in one position, but that might lead to something else and maybe in a different department. Or maybe it will be in the same department, but a different position. I feel like the ability to grow and make those moves is something you don’t always get in every job. But more important than that, not only is there the opportunity to grow and move up, but your bosses and your colleagues want that for you. My boss was very instrumental in helping me achieve what I have here at this company, and I am just so thankful to be at a place where everybody is rooting for one another. The people who work here really do help one another because ultimately they know that when you succeed, when I succeed, when we succeed, the company succeeds.

Q: What’s the best part about working at Glidewell for you personally?

A: For me, it’s that I get to do what I love. My degree is in broadcast journalism, and I get to come and be on camera and help educate dentists. It’s an honor. A lot of people get a degree in something and then end up working in something else, and I’m lucky to be able to apply my degree to my job. I also get to come in and work with a team of people who are excited to be here. So I’m able to do what I love in a supportive environment with people that I actually enjoy being around.
