Dr. Maggie Augustyn earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2004 and is a practicing general dentist, and owner of Happy Tooth. She is a national spokesperson for the Academy of General Dentistry and has published more than 100 works in the dental field. Named one of Dentistry Today’s Top 250 Leaders, Dr. Augustyn is an author and keynote speaker whose work focuses on leadership, wellness and the human side of dentistry.

Dr. James Burneson earned his dental degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2013. He began his career in pediatric and general dentistry, with a focus on digital dentistry and implantology. Dr. Burneson completed a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) in 2020 and a surgical fellowship at the Resnik Implant Institute in 2021. He has served on the Board of Trustees for the Oregon Dental Association and maintains a private practice in Ashland, Oregon.

Dr. Chad Duplantis received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry and continued with post-doctorate training at Baylor College of Dentistry. He maintains a restorative and esthetic dentistry practice in Fort Worth, Texas, where he has incorporated digital dentistry and advanced clinical workflows since 2004. Dr. Duplantis is a speaker, clinical advisor and cofounder of “Dentists IN the Know.”

Dr. Shenouda Gewaid holds a dental degree from Cairo University and Loma Linda University and currently manages daily operations at Western Dental Services and at his own private practices in the Los Angeles area. He has more than 20 years of experience in clinical dentistry, team management and high-volume practice operations.

Dr. Addison Killeen is owner of Capital Dental, a multi-doctor practice in Lincoln, Nebraska. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry and has more than 15 years of experience building, leading and selling dental practices. Dr. Killeen is cofounder of the Dental Success Network, a coach with the Dental Success Institute Elite, and host of “The Daily Dental Podcast.” He is also the author of several books on dental practice management, including “By the Numbers.”

Dr. Paresh Patel is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and the Medical College of Georgia/AAID MaxiCourse^®. A clinical instructor who has placed more than 5,000 implants, Dr. Patel has published numerous articles in leading dental journals, is a diplomate of the ICOI, and has worked extensively as a lecturer and clinical consultant on dental implants and prosthetics for several companies.

Dr. David Rice graduated cum laude from State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, and is founder of IGNITEDDS, a community for new dentists and students. He serves as virtual dental director for multiple single- and multi-location practices and is editor-in-chief of DentistryIQ and adjunct faculty at The Pankey Institute. An author, speaker and mentor, Dr. Rice focuses on helping dentists build successful careers and practices.

Dr. Jinny Bender is a clinical dentist at Glidewell. After earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, she practiced general dentistry for 27 years before joining Glidewell in 2022. Dr. Bender is a member of the ADA, CDA and Orange County Dental Society.

Dr. Justin Chi is director of clinical technologies at Glidewell. He joined Glidewell as a clinical research associate in 2015 after graduating from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. Dr. Chi’s previous education includes receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in dental laboratory technology from the LSU School of Dentistry and earning his CDT in crown & bridge in 2007.

Chuck Fowler is general counsel for Glidewell, where he has worked since 2013. A practicing patent lawyer since 1994, he brings extensive experience in intellectual property and corporate legal matters. Fowler earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from UC Davis in 1986 and his Juris Doctor from UCLA in 1994. His previous roles include positions with Lyon & Lyon; Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe; USGI Medical; and TaylorMade Golf Company.
