OPTISPLINT® Grammetry System
OPTISPLINT® features a unique, honeycomb-style frame that allows individual scan bodies to be luted intraorally into a single stable unit. Once connected, the assembly functions as a verification jig that is scanned extraorally or sent to the lab for cast verification.

ARCHTRACER™ Fiducial Marker
The ARCHTRACER™ fiducial marker solution supports accurate alignment between surgical and restorative records in digital full arch workflows.

Clinical Studies
Scan bodies are placed independently on multi-unit abutments with their wing-like projections facing toward one another. The scan bodies should also be placed as close as possible, without being in direct contact.
The OPTISPLINT® frame is carried intraorally via the frame carrier (left). The OPTISPLINT® frame is then luted to the scan bodies via acrylic or composite material (right). It is important that no pickup material is placed on the scan region of the OPTISPLINT® scan body, as this will impact the accuracy of the implant record.
Intraoral scanners can be utilized to capture implant positioning. Scanning is simplified as data is recorded along a similar plane, limiting inaccuracy caused by the “Z-effect”. The OPTISPLINT® structure can be removed intraorally and scanned extraorally with an intraoral or desktop scanner.
After the implants are placed and positioning is recorded, a postoperative scan of the fiducial marker with the scannable healing caps is made. ARCHTRACER™ fiducial markers (Digital Arches) can be easily utilized to merge data sets.
Once the OPTISPLINT® structure is connected together, it is removed from the mouth. Multi-unit analogs can be placed into the structure and poured in dental stone, creating a master model. This allows clinicians to verify prosthetic passivity prior to delivery.
After all the data is recorded, the information should then be sent to the lab. There, the information is imported into CAD software. Files are then aligned to digitally design the All-on-X prosthesis. The lab merges all the files, designs the prosthesis, and fabricates the immediate or final fixed prosthesis.
A 2D photograph or a 3D facial scan can be recorded to help aid digital lab technicians in the fabrication of the prosthesis.
