I have often said that I could not practice dentistry, at least adhesive dentistry, without this product. I have used the serrated strips from Axis Dental for a long time, and they have now been updated into a more convenient form: discs rather than strips. Due to the length of the traditional serrated strips, there has always been the possibility of cutting the patient’s lip or other facial soft tissue with the strip.

The QwikStrip™ eliminates these safety concerns by keeping the strips contained within a plastic disc. The discs can be used in a one- or two-hand technique, based on your preference, and are very convenient. With that being said, I haven’t thrown my serrated strips away just yet because there are still some rare situations where I really have to saw through a solid contact, and I can still generate more power with the strips. However, for daily use I still prefer the QwikStrips. All the discs are safe-sided and the serrated disc is safe-sided on both sides to avoid opening contacts.
