MAKE IMPLANTS A BIGGER PART OF YOUR PRACTICE
The Hahn Tapered Implant System includes a simple, efficient surgical protocol that helps dentists confidently add new procedures to their practices, along with advanced design features that specialists appreciate. As growing numbers of dentists seek to expand the implant services they offer patients, the Hahn Tapered Implant offers ease of use backed by world-class education, expert technical support, and everyday cost savings to support dentists in maximizing their success in implant dentistry.
The Hahn Tapered Implant System has demonstrated a 99.2% survival rate and includes a straightforward drilling sequence for the full range of indications. Hahn Tapered Implants feature an array of sizes that allow for placement in all regions of the mouth, from tight anterior spaces to second molar sites. An aggressively angled thread pattern with self-tapping grooves is designed to facilitate swift, efficient delivery. The pronounced thread design also enables precise directional control during placement, and has demonstrated excellent primary stability in all bone types — even in fresh extraction sockets.
The machined collar of the Hahn implant allows for flexible apicocoronal positioning while enhancing soft-tissue health and crestal bone preservation. The implant’s color-coded, conical connection eases restoration delivery and supports a wide variety of prosthetic protocols. And when you choose to restore your case at Glidewell, you are backed by our comprehensive lifetime warranty — from Hahn implant to BruxZir restoration.
Glidewell formed a partnership with Dr. Jack Hahn, who designed the original tapered implant and has been placing implants for over 50 years, to create the Hahn implant, finding a shared goal in expanding patient access to implant treatment. The Hahn Tapered Implant is offered at a fraction of the price of other premium implant systems, and saves you 20% off every time you restore your case at Glidewell. By helping you reduce both the surgical and restorative costs of care, the Hahn implant makes it easier for you to grow your practice and gain patient acceptance of treatment.

Mean Bone Loss Around Various Implant Systems After 1 Year
The Hahn Tapered Implant System showed just 0.23 mm in mean bone loss after one year, setting it ahead of similar implant systems after one year of performance.

Decrease in Bone Loss Around Hahn Tapered Implants
A decrease in mean bone loss between years one and two indicates that some of the Hahn Tapered Implants in the study actually gained in marginal bone.1

Clinical Studies

The patient’s fractured maxillary left central incisor was removed and immediately replaced with a 4.3 mm x 13 mm Hahn Tapered Implant.
– Clinical dentistry by Jack Hahn, DDS

Four months later, a BruxZir® Zirconia crown was delivered.

By enabling precise directional control during placement and high primary stability, the Hahn Tapered Implant was essential to the predictable, esthetic outcome.

After removing the patient’s failing teeth in the lower left posterior quadrant, a surgical flap was created and three 4.3 mm Hahn Tapered Implants were placed into the site. After four months, excellent healing and tissue health were observed.
– Clinical dentistry by Paresh B. Patel, DDS

Three BruxZir Full-Strength Zirconia screw-retained crowns were created, connected to the Hahn implants and evaluated for final adjustments. The fit, occlusion and esthetics were excellent.

The final radiograph shows the integrated Hahn Tapered Implants as well as the individual BruxZir crowns after delivery, both of which contributed to the excellent long-term prognosis the patient enjoys.

Extraoral image of the patient, who presented with terminal dentition and poor esthetics and function. The patient requested a fixed upper restoration and did not want to wear a removable appliance at any point during treatment. A BruxZir Implant Prosthesis was selected for maximum durability, optimal esthetics, and the ability to refine the prosthetic design with the PMMA provisional implant prosthesis.
– Clinical dentistry by Paresh B. Patel, DDS

The maxillary teeth were extracted and alveoplasty was performed. Then, osteotomies were created for the Hahn Tapered Implants, the sharp threads of which helped maintain proper position against the palatal wall during insertion. This positioning is important both to situate the implants behind the incisal edges of the eventual prosthesis and to avoid the fragile buccal plate. Multi-unit abutments were connected to the implants, correcting for divergent angulation among the implants.

The monolithic zirconia full-arch implant prosthesis was delivered, established a precise fit and required zero adjustments. The patient, who had grown accustomed to the prosthetic design during the short trial period wearing the PMMA provisional, was delighted with the function and esthetics of the final restoration. The Hahn Tapered Implants, which helped facilitate proper positioning for the full-arch restoration and established the primary stability needed for immediate provisionalization, contributed to the predictable final outcome.

“It has simplified the surgical and the prosthetic protocol immensely. With the Hahn system, each implant has a specific … final drill, so you don’t need drill stops. You don’t have to look at the black lines. It makes implants so easy.”
“I’ve been placing implants since 1984, and they’ve all been designed by Dr. Jack Hahn — from Steri-Oss®, to NobelReplace®, to the Hahn Tapered Implant. I’ve found that as his designs have changed and improved over the years, the predictability for both the bone and soft tissue has gotten even better — and the implant bearing his name is his best.”
“This is so much farther ahead than anybody else. You’re going to go to this product and I haven’t had one person that’s switched over that didn’t say, ‘I’m glad I switched over.’”

Indications
Hahn Tapered Implants are indicated for use in maxillary and mandibular partially or fully edentulous cases, to support single, multiple-unit, and overdenture restorations. The implants are to be used for immediate loading only in the presence of primary stability and appropriate occlusal loading.
Hahn Tapered Implant Abutments are premanufactured prosthetic components directly connected to endosseous dental implants and are intended for use as an aid in prosthetic rehabilitation.
Hahn Tapered Implant Multi-Unit Abutments are intended to provide support and retention for multi-unit screw-retained restorations. The 30-degree multi-unit abutments must be used within 45 degrees of parallelism for a splinted restoration. The 17-degree multi-unit abutments must be used within 32 degrees of parallelism for a splinted restoration.
