Comfortable, Relinable Flipper Appliance with Gingival-Shaded Clasps

Reflex Plus is a flipper appliance that can be relined and is repairable like acrylic. Made from non-nylon, nonallergenic material, Reflex Plus partials are designed with little or no coverage of the palatal tissue, making them extremely comfortable to wear. Simply place in warm water at delivery to allow the gingival-shaded clasps to adapt to the patient’s undercuts. Your patients will love the comfort, retention and esthetics of Reflex Plus partials.

For patients requiring an inexpensive, temporary replacement for missing teeth, an acrylic flipper can be a suitable solution. A flipper will help transition your patients until definitive treatment becomes affordable. The Clear-Flip appliance includes up to eight teeth and two clear clasps.

    Clinical Tips

One of the attractive aspects of thermoplastic partials is they can be constructed from two good impressions or models, an accurate bite relationship and desired shade. A good alginate impression is ideal for full and partial denture cases. Irreversible hydrocolloid is still the best material to take moist tissue impressions due to the hydrophilic (attracted to water) nature of this material. Polyvinyl siloxane and polyether impressions are also acceptable impressions for thermoplastics. As with nearly all impression techniques, the use of a custom tray is highly recommended.
