The try-in appointment is both exciting and crucial. In this course, Dr. Koka will review the essential steps to ensure the proper fit and function of dentures, sharing valuable tips he has learned along the way. Additionally, he will emphasize the importance of tooth position, vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO), and centric relation, while also focusing on building patient confidence and ensuring satisfaction.

Sreenivas Koka, DDS, M.S., Ph.D., MBA, FACD

Dr. Sreenivas “Sree” Koka received his DDS and MS in prosthodontics from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, followed by a PhD from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management. Dr. Koka also earned a MAS from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in Population Health Management. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the Academy of Prosthodontics. Dr. Koka is the former Chair of the Department of Dental Specialties at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Koka has received numerous Outstanding Teacher of the Year awards, as well as the Margaret L.A. MacVicar Award from the MIT Alumni Association. He has given more than 180 presentations at national and international dentistry meetings and is the author or coauthor of over 100 articles in peer-reviewed professional publications.
