Dr. Manalili demonstrates how to use an implant jig in combination with a custom tray provided by Glidewell to ensure a verified final impression. When restoring multiple splinted implants, this type of impression will help ensure the passive fit of the definitive prosthesis. This jig and custom tray is fabricated based on the preliminary impression sent to the laboratory on the first visit. The multi-unit abutments shown in the video were selected based on the position of the teeth in the current prosthesis (denture) and then subsequently inserted into the patient’s mouth prior to placing the implant jig.
