Essix Retainers are clear, customized stents with pontics that sit over edentulous spaces to maintain the position and alignment of adjacent teeth. These retainers serve as an esthetic temporary restoration post-extraction or during the osseointegration period after implant placement — and can also be used in a range of other clinical situations.
This versatile solution is recommended for patients:

Essix Retainers are easy to implement into your treatment plans with their straightforward workflow. First, take an impression or digital scan and send it to the lab. A model is poured from a physical impression or printed from a digital scan file, and the retainer is then thermoformed over the model, with a crown incorporated to occupy any edentulous spaces. After fabrication, you can provide your patient with the retainer as a temporary solution until they are ready for definitive treatment.

Glidewell (“the lab”) warrants that all dental devices (a “device”) are made according to your specification and approval in the belief that the device will be useful and MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
