Maximize Treatment Success with the Fully Digital Sleep Solution

The Silent Nite 3D is a digitally designed, 3D-printed sleep device that helps to alleviate the symptoms of snoring and mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Manufactured with a digital workflow in mind, the appliance is an extension of the Silent Nite brand, which has been used to treat snoring and OSA since 1996.

An extra Titration Kit is included in each case, so patients can replace lost connectors or change the connector length for improved function or comfort.

Built For Patient Comfort

Glidewell accepts digital-only impressions for the Silent Nite 3D appliance. This streamlines the in-office workflow and ensures a precise fit and maximum comfort for the patient. The device is adjustable in 0.5 mm increments, producing up to 10 mm of mandibular advancement. Since the process is fully digital, replacement devices — due to either damage or loss — can be fabricated without needing new impressions. If a dental practice doesn’t have an intraoral scanner, dentists may still prescribe the original Silent Nite Sleep Appliance by submitting analog impressions.

Validations

Patient Satisfaction

Oral appliance therapy (OAT) is very effective in treating patients with sleep-disordered breathing, with a compliance rate shown to be as high as 90% over a 2.5-year period.1

OAT is associated with greater patient satisfaction than nasal continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy.2

In a randomized crossover trial comparing OAT to CPAP in patients with obstructive sleep apnea, about 81% preferred OAT.3

Improved Health

Among patients with obstructive sleep apnea, both continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and mandibular advancement devices (MADs) were associated with reductions in blood pressure. Network meta-analysis did not identify a statistically significant difference between the blood pressure outcomes associated with these therapies.4

A mandibular advancement device for obstructive sleep apnea reduces nocturnal blood pressure in women.5
