Dr. Michael DiTolla is a graduate of the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, and he is a fellow of the AGD. After working in private practice for 15 years, he became director of clinical education and research at Glidewell, where he gained an intimate knowledge of U.S. dentists’ crown & bridge habits. From 2006 to 2009, Dr. DiTolla led the clinical team at Glidewell that developed and brought BruxZir® Zirconia to market. In 2011, he received the “Most Effective Dentist Educator” award in a nationwide survey of dentists. Four years later, he became the director of clinical affairs at Dentsply Sirona, and in 2017 he was named the vice president of clinical affairs and communications at AEGIS Communications. Dr. DiTolla has given over 1,000 lectures to dentists worldwide, and his online videos have been viewed more than 10 million times by clinicians.
Dr. Len Boksman earned his dental degree from the faculty of dentistry at Western University in Ontario, Canada, in 1972. After practicing in his hometown of Burlington for seven years, he returned to his alma mater as an assistant professor of operative dentistry, and attained tenure as an associate professor shortly thereafter. Recognized by Dentistry Today as one of the continent’s top dental educators for many years, Len authored more than 100 articles, and was the first international editorial board member for REALITY magazine. Having returned to private practice full-time in 1987, Dr. Boksman recently retired, and now volunteers his time teaching at the School of Oral Health Sciences at the University of Technology, Jamaica. Dr. James Dunn formerly was a full-time faculty member at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, where he received his dental degree, and is currently in private practice in Auburn, California. Dr. Dunn has been a principal investigator for numerous clinical and laboratory trials of tooth-colored materials. He is a Chicago Dental Society Gordon Christensen Award recipient and received the Award of Excellence in Cosmetic Dental Education from the AACD. A member of the ADA and fellow of the AAED, AADR, IADR, Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry, and the Academy of Dental Materials, Dr. Dunn continues to lecture and give workshops on esthetic restorative dentistry and dental photography. Dr. Mark Hyman received his dental degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. Following a four-month internship in Israel, he completed a two-year oral medicine/general practice residency at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Dr. Hyman is on the surgical staff of Cone Health, teaches at The Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida, and is an adjunct associate professor at UNC School of Dentistry. He also lectures nationally and internationally. A Master of the AGD, Dr. Hyman was voted one of the top 100 leaders in dental continuing education by Dentistry Today. Dr. Frank Milnar is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He maintains a full-time practice in St. Paul, Minnesota, emphasizing appearance-related dentistry. Dr. Milnar has published numerous articles about the direct placement of composites, shade selection and porcelain materials, and he lectures extensively within the U.S. Armed Forces and internationally on these subjects. He is an accredited member of the AACD and a board examiner for AACD accreditation, as well as co-chair of the organization’s Professional Education Committee. Dr. Milnar is also co-founder of the Minnesota Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has been voted a top dentist in the Twin Cities for the last several years by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. Dr. Glenn van As graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1987. In addition to being in full-time private practice, he served as an assistant clinical professor at UBC from 1989 to 1999. He is clinical director of the International Center for Laser Education and immediate past president of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, of which he is a founding member. His areas of interest and expertise involve the utilization of the dental-operating microscope in his clinical dentistry and multiple wavelengths of hard- and soft-tissue lasers in his private general practice. Dr. Richard Young received his dental training at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1985. As an assistant professor of restorative dentistry at LLU, he lectures in undergraduate dental esthetics, advanced prosthodontics and practice management. Dr. Young’s interest in dental photography spans 25 years. Recognized for his expertise in digital photography, his innovative and practical methods have inspired countless colleagues to adopt digital photography into their clinical procedures. Dr. Young maintains a private practice in San Bernardino, California, focusing on esthetic dentistry. He is a member of numerous dental organizations, including the ADA, CDA and AACD.
