The Removable Solution That Maximizes Support and Retention
Implant overdentures from Glidewell are recommended for patients who desire a more stable removable prosthesis that improves function and speech. The Locator CAD/CAM-Milled Bar Overdenture provides for maximum support and retention by seating over a titanium framework that connects the implants, thereby distributing functional forces more evenly across the implants. In addition, the CAD/CAM-milled bar allows the Locator attachments to be situated further toward the posterior, resulting in increased stability for the implant overdenture.
With the Locator CAD/CAM-Milled Bar Overdenture, the prosthesis can be partly implant-supported, requiring less support from the patient’s tissue and making it an excellent option for patients with anatomical deficiencies in the edentulous arch. Glidewell’s all-inclusive pricing for this overdenture includes four Locator Abutments with complete Locator Attachments, although the milled implant bar can be fabricated to connect to two or three implants positioned in the anterior. For patients who desire a palateless maxillary denture, upper implant overdentures can be fabricated in the shape of a horseshoe, addressing patient issues with comfort, speech and taste.
This removable implant solution is recommended for patients who lack sufficient bone volume to support the number of implants in the correct positions needed to provide adequate anterior-posterior (A-P) spread for a fixed restoration. The Locator CAD/CAM-Milled Bar Overdenture provides for maximum retention via retentive caps in the denture that seat over Locator Abutments situated along the titanium framework.
