John Ferah, DDS, Ph.D.

Dr. John Farah is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. In 1984, he launched The Dental Advisor, a publication that tests and reviews products and materials from across the industry. In addition to an Ann Arbor, Michigan-based practice that he has maintained since 1980, Dr. Farah founded Apex Dental Milling Center, a facility that offers CAD/CAM services to both laboratories and clinicians. Michael B. Miller, DDS, FAGD, FAACD

Dr. Michael Miller is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He is a founding member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the founder of REALITY Publishing Company, distributor of one of the leading, noncommercial product evaluation sources in dentistry. Dr. Miller has maintained a private practice in Houston, Texas, since 1976 and is a clinical associate professor at the University of Texas School of Dentistry. Dean H. Saiki, DDS

Dr. Dean Saiki graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1988. He maintains a private practice in northern San Diego County, California, specializing in implants and digital dentistry. He has been a member of the ADA, CDA and San Diego County Dental Society since 1989, as well as other advanced study clubs including the Trojan Dental Study Club. Zachary Smith

Zachary Smith is a second-year dental student at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. As a competitive triathlete and runner in the Greater Houston area, he has developed a strong interest in the field of sports dentistry. Zachary plans on attending a residency following graduation. Siamak Abai, DDS, MMedSc

Dr. Siamak Abai earned his DDS degree from Columbia University in 2004, followed by two years of residency in general dentistry. After two years of general private practice in Huntington Beach, California, he returned to academia and received an MMedSc degree and a certificate in prosthodontics from Harvard University. Dr. Abai brings nearly 10 years of clinical, research and lecturing experience to his role as director of clinical research and development for Glidewell Laboratories’ Implant division. He is also editor-in-chief and clinical editor of Inclusive™ magazine. Before joining Glidewell in January 2012, Dr. Abai practiced at the Wöhrle Dental Implant Clinic in Newport Beach, California. 

Justin Chi, DDS, CDT

Dr. Justin Chi is director of clinical technologies at Glidewell. He joined Glidewell as a clinical research associate in 2015 after graduating from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. Dr. Chi’s previous education included receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in dental laboratory technology from the LSU School of Dentistry and earning his CDT in crown & bridge in 2007.

Anamaria Muresan, DMD, ME, CDT

Dr. Anamaria Muresan is a graduate of the Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine. Prior to receiving her DMD, Dr. Muresan spent 12 years as ceramic manager at Glidewell Laboratories. In 2013, after earning her DMD and completing a one-year continuum in implant dentistry, Dr. Muresan returned to Glidewell Dental to join the operatory team as director of clinical research.

Christopher Newcomb

Christopher Newcomb is the copywriter team lead at Glidewell Laboratories. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a degree in English literature and has worked alongside the clinicians and R&D professionals at Glidewell Laboratories for four years. Gary Pritchard, J.D.

Gary Pritchard received his law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, and went on to serve as general counsel for Clayton Homes, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway Company, and Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc., a Fortune 500 Company. As a board-certified trial lawyer, Gary was a managing partner for Pritchard & Hanszen in Houston, Texas, and holds active law licenses in Texas, Arizona, Tennessee and California. Gary is currently one of the in-house labor counselors for Glidewell, where he has been integral in instituting policies that protect both employees and the company.

Will Schmidt, RDAEF2

Will Schmidt brings more than 17 years of dental experience, including 15 as a registered dental assistant, to his role at Glidewell. He has worked in multiple settings, from private practice, to group practice, to oral surgery in a hospital’s trauma center. Prior to entering the dental field, Will served as a U.S. Marine, an experience that he credits for honing his appreciation for detail.

Darryl Withrow

Darryl Withrow graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in anthropology before joining Glidewell Laboratories in 1989. Darryl began his career in the Shipping and Receiving department before moving to the Accounting department, where he worked in accounts payable and as assistant to the controller. Today, he is the vice president of operations, serving as a key stakeholder in all aspects of Glidewell Laboratories. Contact him at chairside@glidewelldental.com.
