Dr. Richard Allen Glenner is a renowned dentist, educator, historian and writer. Earning his DDS degree from University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1959, he went on to attend the Army Medical Service School for two years, after which he started a private practice in Chicago, Illinois. As a researcher, author and former historian of The American Academy of the History of Dentistry, Dr. Glenner’s contributions to our knowledge of dental history include two books and countless articles. He has served as a dental consultant to the Smithsonian Institution and various corporations, libraries, universities, museums and dental journals. He also has lectured extensively at events across the industry. Dr. Glenner is now retired.
