Glidewell now supports All-on-X full-arch digital scanning protocols with ArchTracer^™ and OptiSplint^® systems from Digital Arches (Fountain Valley, Calif.). The technology supports both the surgical and restorative workflows utilizing fiducial markers and verification jig scanning, ensuring alignment during implant placement and prosthetic design for passive-fit, full-arch restorations.

The ArchTracer acts as a fiducial marker, providing an easy way to align the preoperative intraoral scans on the day of surgery to support an immediate-load workflow. The markers feature an integrated screw for easy placement in bone. The geometric shape and sandblasted surface of the markers provide an excellent surface for intraoral scanning.

OptiSplint features a unique process for the restorative workflow in which scan bodies are placed and then luted together using a honeycomb frame, creating a verification jig that is easily removed from the mouth for immediate scanning. This process serves as an alternative to photogrammetry for producing highly accurate restorative scans.
