Product Spotlight: Locator® Fixed Prosthesis

The Locator® Fixed Prosthesis represents a leap forward in providing clinical flexibility to practitioners and patients alike. Unlike a Locator Implant Overdenture, which is stabilized using Locator technology but can be removed by the patient, this prosthesis is engineered to stay in place once seated by the clinician and offers the benefits of a fixed implant restoration. This full-arch solution is available in four materials, including BruxZir® Full-Strength Zirconia, BruxZir Esthetic Zirconia, PMMA or acrylic.

EASY CHAIRSIDE PROCEDURE AND UNMATCHED ESTHETICS

Because the Locator Fixed Prosthesis simply secures into place atop Locator Abutments using friction, there are fewer clinical steps involved than delivering a screw- or cement-retained full-arch implant restoration.

The Locator Fixed Prosthesis takes advantage of the same abutments used to stabilize Locator Implant Overdentures but connects to different housings that contain higher strength inserts, resulting in a fixed prosthesis that can be removed only by the clinician with the use of a specialized lever-type tool.

Another benefit of this design is the ability to avoid screw access holes, which normally must be covered with composite in traditional fixed options.

The prosthesis features a convex intaglio design.

SAME SIMPLE PROTOCOL — EASY CONVERSION OPTION

This restorative solution can be implemented in many full-arch cases where at least four implants have been placed. A key advantage of the Locator Fixed Prosthesis is that a practitioner can often convert their patient’s removable overdenture to a fixed solution.
